Game 24: Mets vs. Marlins @ Shea Stadium

On a day of mourning Cardinal pitcher Josh Hancock's death, MLB would play ball.

The Good: The Mets battled real hard but could not get a hit to put them over the hump.

The Bad: A week after winning a game for us, Damion Easley used this one to give it right back. After Jose Valentin was placed on the DL, Easley opened the floodgates by not catching a two-out line drive to him that started the scoring. He also struck out in a key spot. David Wright continues to struggle with the bat. Chan Ho Park pitched better than it looked but shotty defense cost the Mets the game.

Overall: Take the good with the bad and go get 'em tomorrow.

Final Score: Mets 6, Marlins 9. Record: 15-9.
