Game 31: Mets vs. Giants @ AT&T Park
Oliver Perez would look to build upon his recent success as he took the mound to face the Giants.
The Good: Perez looked great through four innings. Then, an arguable ball four, a questionable home run call, and two inning ending errors by Damion Easley and Shawn Green cost him the game. Regardless of the deficit, the Mets pushed some runs across on hits by Shawn Green and Ruben Gotay. Too little, too late.
The Bad: The Met blunders would cost them greatly as the Giants would score nine runs in the fifth inning. Bengie Molina would highlight the inning with two home runs. Omar Vizquel also chose a good night to be a thief as he robbed the Mets of multiple hits.
Overall: A promising start turned bad. Tough break. It was also annoying to see Barry Zito dominate the Mets.
Final Score: Mets 4, Giants 9. Record: 19-12.
