Game 48: Mets vs. Marlins @ Dolphin Stadium

The Mets look to take the series with a second win against Florida tonight.

The Good: Dropped to the sixth spot in the order, Carlos Delgado smashed two home runs out of the ballpark tonight. Endy Chavez added three hits to the Met offense who scored seven runs. John Maine earned his first win in four starts and tied a career-high in strikeouts with eight. Ambiorix Burgos also pitched two hitless innings. After being hit by a pitch, Paul LoDuca stole his second base of the season.

The Bad: Carlos Gomez, filling in for injured Shawn Green, pulled up lame on his rbi single and left the game with an apparent hamstring strain.

Overall: Delgado and the Mets take the series and look for a sweep tomorrow.

Notes: Marlin shortstop Hanley Ramirez made the final out in the first, third, fifth and seventh innings.

Final Score: Mets 7, Marlins 2. Record: 31-17.
