Game 52: Mets vs. Giants @ Shea Stadium

El Duque pitches tonight in his second game off of the DL.

The Good: After a shaky first inning, El Duque looked great through seven innings and earned the win. The offense also struck early by digging Hernandez out of an early hole and scoring four runs. Jose Reyes continues to show patience, steal bases (29), and deliver clutch hits. After Reyes was caught stealing for the fifth time this season in the second inning, Endy Chavez dropped down a two-out bunt for an rbi. That capped the scoring and Billy Wagner would close the game out for his thirteenth save.

The Bad: Carlos Beltran caught the latest injury bug by leaving the game early after a collision at first base. An MRI is scheduled for tomorrow.

Overall: Another series win. Bring on those Diamondbacks.

Notes: Ben Johnson looks good in the lineup.

Final Score: Mets 4, Giants 2. Record: 34-18.
