Game 54: Mets vs. Diamondbacks @ Shea Stadium

The Mets seek another win out of Jorge Sosa but will rely on a depleted offense.

The Good: Jorge Sosa collected his fifth win with 6+ solid innings. Carlos Delgado popped another homer and had another good game. Dave Newhan also contributed with an rbi hit to score Ramon Castro. Ben Johnson would follow that with a sac fly and the Mets would score three runs in the fourth. In the seventh inning, the Mets lineup would break the game open with a three run homer from Ruben Gotay. Coming from unlikey sources, the Mets would score seven runs on the day. Jose Reyes would triple in the eighth to score Carlos Gomez.

The Bad: Nothing to complain about.

Overall: If the Mets win tomorrow, they will be the first team ever to win its first ten series vs. opponents out of their division.

Final Score: Mets 7, Diamondbacks 1. Record: 35-19.
