The Good: Oliver Perez had a no-hitter through four innings but got touched up for a few runs in the fifth. The Mets were not able to recover.

The Bad: The Mets couldn't buy a clutch hit. With runners on base, they scored their only run but it should have been more. With the bases loaded late in the game, Damion Easley almost cleared them but the ball was ruled foul. Tip your hat to the soft-tossing Doug Davis.

Overall: First series loss against teams not in the N.L. East.

Final Score: Mets 1, Diamondbacks 4. Record: 35-20.
