Game 63: Mets vs. Dodgers @ Dodger Stadium
John Maine will be tonight's pitcher and will make an attempt to turn around the Met fortunes.
The Good: Carlos Delgado singled in the first and the Mets jumped out to an early lead. However, things stalled thereafter. David Wright and Carlos Gomez swiped a few bags. The bullpen did not allow a run.
The Bad: Three pitches, three home runs. In the bottom of the second, Maine allows consecutive home runs to Wilson Betemit, Matt Kemp, and Hong-Chih Kuo. Kuo shut the Mets down once again, similar to last years performance. Paul Lo Duca made an errant throw in the fourth inning but it wasn't of great significance in hindsight.
Overall: Another series loss.
Final Score: Mets 1, Dodgers 4. Record: 36-27.
