Game 64: Mets vs. Dodgers @ Dodger Stadium
The Mets look to avoid the sweep in their first early-season slump.
The Good: The Mets came out aggressive but lost it during the eighth. The Mets also had eight hits but couldn't piece anything together. Jose Reyes stole his 32nd base.
The Bad: Their best pitcher as of late, Jorge Sosa, got roughed up and took his second loss.
Notes: The last time the Mets visited L.A., they were doing the sweeping. They took all three games from the Dodgers in last years NLDS.
Quote of the Day: (From Yahoo Sports) We should be very happy being where we're at," said Mets closer Billy Wagner, who gave up a two-run homer to James Loney in the eighth. "I'm sure Omar (Minaya) didn't put this team together expecting this type of play, and Fred Wilpon didn't shell out this type of money for us to go out there and play like this."
Final Score: Mets 1, Dodgers 9. Record: 36-28.
